Full name and contact details.
Number of participants.
Preferred tour and travel dates.
Pick-up location, where applicable.
Children’s ages, where relevant.
Special requirements necessary for arranging the tour.

A booking is considered confirmed once GidOman provides written confirmation through email, WhatsApp or another agreed communication channel.
Where a deposit or advance payment is required, confirmation is also subject to the agreed payment conditions.
The person making a reservation on behalf of other guests is responsible for providing accurate information and ensuring that all participants are informed of the relevant booking conditions.
Customers should notify GidOman before booking of any relevant accessibility requirements, mobility limitations, dietary preferences or other special arrangements.
We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate these requests but cannot guarantee that all requests can be fulfilled.
Tour prices are provided in the currency displayed on the website, quotation or booking confirmation.
The confirmed tour description specifies the services included in the price.
Unless otherwise stated, the following are not included:
Personal expenses.
Optional activities.
Additional meals and beverages.
Entrance fees not listed as included.
Personal travel or medical insurance.
Tips and gratuities.
Additional services requested by the customer.
Unless otherwise specified in the booking confirmation, a deposit of 10% of the total booking cost is required to secure a reservation.
Certain private tours, multi-day packages, accommodation arrangements and special activities may require a higher deposit or full advance payment.
Any different payment conditions will be communicated before the booking is confirmed.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the remaining balance for multi-day tours must be paid at least 7 days before the scheduled departure date.
Reservations made within 7 days of departure may require full payment at the time of confirmation.
Payment arrangements for one-day group excursions will be communicated during the booking process.
Available payment methods will be communicated during booking.
Any applicable bank charges, international transfer fees or currency conversion costs will be disclosed where relevant.
If the customer fails to complete payment by the agreed deadline, GidOman may cancel the reservation after reasonable notification.
Any applicable cancellation charges will be determined by the agreed booking conditions and applicable law.
Prices may change before booking confirmation due to availability, seasonality, accommodation costs or supplier pricing.
Once a reservation is confirmed, the agreed price will remain valid unless additional services or changes are requested, or another adjustment has been expressly agreed upon and is permitted by applicable law.
All formal cancellation and booking change requests must be submitted in writing by email to:
info@omangid.com
The date and time the cancellation email is received by GidOman will determine the applicable cancellation charges.
Cancellation deadlines are calculated using Oman local time (GMT+4).
The following cancellation policy applies to standard one-day group excursions operated by GidOman.
Cancellation 24 Hours or More Before Departure
Customers may cancel their booking free of charge and receive a 100% refund of the amount paid.
Cancellation Less Than 24 Hours Before Departure
Cancellations received less than 24 hours before the scheduled departure are non-refundable.
A cancellation charge equivalent to 100% of the tour price will apply.
No-Show
If a customer fails to arrive at the designated meeting point or is unavailable at the confirmed pick-up time, the reservation may be classified as a no-show.
No refund will be provided for a no-show.
Cancellation conditions for multi-day tours depend on the travel season and the number of days remaining before the scheduled arrival date.
High Season: October 1 – March 31
For cancellations received within 14 days before the scheduled arrival date, a cancellation charge equivalent to 40% of the total tour cost will apply.
Peak Season: December 25 – January 5
For cancellations received within 30 days before the scheduled arrival date, a cancellation charge equivalent to 100% of the total tour cost will apply.
Low Season: April 1 – September 30
For cancellations received within 5 days before the scheduled arrival date, a cancellation charge equivalent to 20% of the total tour cost will apply.
Cancellations Outside the Specified Periods
Cancellations received before the applicable cancellation period are eligible for a full refund, except for any separately disclosed and agreed non-refundable costs, where permitted by applicable law.
Peak Season Priority
The Peak Season cancellation conditions take precedence over the High Season conditions.
For tours beginning between December 25 and January 5, the Peak Season policy applies.
The relevant cancellation policy is determined by the arrival date stated in the booking confirmation.
Private one-day tours, customized travel experiences, yacht charters, special transportation arrangements and other individually arranged services may have different cancellation requirements.
Such requirements may depend on hotel reservations, transportation arrangements, activity providers and other services booked specifically for the customer.
Any additional cancellation conditions or non-refundable charges will be communicated and agreed upon before booking confirmation.
Where no separate conditions have been agreed, cancellation charges will be determined in accordance with the confirmed booking agreement and applicable law.
Requests to change travel dates, participant numbers, accommodation, pick-up locations or other confirmed arrangements must be submitted by email to info@omangid.com.
All changes are subject to availability and confirmation by GidOman.
Any additional costs resulting from requested changes will be communicated to the customer for approval before the amended booking is confirmed.
A request to change a booking does not automatically cancel or replace the original confirmed reservation.
If a customer voluntarily leaves a tour before completion or chooses not to participate in an included activity, a refund is not automatically guaranteed.
Any refund request will be considered in accordance with the circumstances, agreed supplier conditions and applicable consumer protection laws.
GidOman reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a tour when circumstances make the planned service unsafe or impossible to operate.
Such circumstances may include:
Heavy rainfall, storms or adverse weather conditions.
Flooding risks in wadis or mountainous areas.
Dangerous sea conditions.
Unsafe road or access conditions.
Insufficient participants to operate a group excursion.
Government restrictions or official safety warnings.
Closure of tourist attractions or natural areas.
Unexpected vehicle or transport unavailability.
Natural disasters, emergencies or other extraordinary circumstances.
Some group excursions require a minimum number of participants.
If the minimum number is not reached, GidOman may cancel or reschedule the excursion.
Where reasonably possible, customers will be notified at least 24 hours before departure.
If GidOman cancels a confirmed tour before departure, the customer will be offered one of the following options:
Reschedule the tour to another available date.
Select an alternative excursion, subject to availability and any agreed price adjustment.
Receive a full refund of the amount paid for the cancelled tour.
Customers are not required to accept a replacement experience instead of a refund where a refund is due.
GidOman may modify the itinerary, change the order of visits or substitute an attraction when necessary for safety or operational reasons.
Examples include sudden rainfall, flash-flood warnings, unsafe swimming conditions, road closures or restricted access to tourist attractions.
Whenever reasonably possible, a suitable alternative activity or destination will be arranged.
If a significant part of the agreed service cannot be delivered, GidOman will assess an appropriate alternative or refund in accordance with the circumstances and applicable consumer protection laws.
Minor changes that do not materially affect the overall agreed experience do not automatically entitle customers to compensation.
GidOman will make reasonable efforts to notify customers of significant cancellations or changes as soon as the relevant circumstances become known.
Communication may take place through email, WhatsApp, telephone or another agreed contact method.
Refunds are subject to the applicable cancellation conditions, confirmed booking agreement and mandatory consumer rights.
Where cancellation fees apply, those fees will be deducted from the amount paid.
Any remaining refundable balance will be returned to the customer.
Approved refunds will normally be issued through the original payment method whenever possible.
Alternative refund methods may be agreed upon where necessary.
Approved refunds will be initiated within a reasonable period after the refund amount has been confirmed.
The time required for the refund to appear in the customer’s account may depend on the bank, payment provider or international transaction process.
Some travel packages include services supplied by hotels, marine operators, transportation companies and other independent providers.
Separately disclosed and agreed non-refundable supplier conditions may apply, subject to mandatory consumer protection rights.
GidOman makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate tour descriptions, itineraries and information.
Tour durations and schedules are approximate unless specific arrangements have been confirmed in writing.
Actual travel times may vary due to traffic, road conditions, weather, group requirements or other operational circumstances.
Only services expressly listed in the confirmed itinerary, tour description or booking confirmation are included in the agreed tour price.
Accommodation included in multi-day packages is subject to the confirmed booking arrangements.
If a confirmed hotel becomes unavailable, GidOman will seek a reasonably comparable alternative.
Customers will be informed of material differences, and their rights will be handled according to the booking agreement and applicable law.
Certain services may be provided by independent operators, including hotels, boat companies, specialized activity providers and transport companies.
GidOman will take reasonable care in selecting and coordinating these services and remains responsible for its own contractual and legal obligations.
Customers must provide accurate hotel details or meeting-point information when booking.
Confirmed pick-up arrangements will be communicated before the tour.
Customers must be ready at the designated meeting point at the confirmed time.
Group excursions operate according to a schedule, and departure may not be delayed for late participants.
If a customer misses the scheduled departure due to late arrival, the booking may be treated as a no-show under the applicable cancellation conditions.
Pick-up times or locations may be adjusted for operational reasons.
GidOman will communicate significant changes as soon as reasonably possible.
Guest safety is a priority for GidOman Tours.
Certain excursions involve outdoor activities and natural environments that may present physical challenges or inherent risks.
These may include hiking, swimming, snorkeling, boating, mountain travel, desert excursions and walking over uneven terrain.
Customers should carefully review the physical requirements of their chosen excursion.
Guests are responsible for assessing whether an activity is suitable for their fitness, experience and personal circumstances.
Relevant mobility requirements or medical limitations that may affect safe participation should be communicated before booking.
Excursions to locations such as Wadi Shab and other natural valleys may involve:
Walking over rocky or uneven surfaces.
Slippery paths and wet terrain.
Swimming in natural pools.
Exposure to heat and direct sunlight.
Changing water levels.
Limited access to certain areas.
Guests must follow the guide’s instructions and should not attempt activities beyond their abilities.
Swimming activities should only be undertaken by guests who are appropriately prepared and confident in the relevant conditions.
Guests must follow the instructions of guides and drivers during desert and mountain excursions.
Suitable clothing, appropriate footwear, sun protection and adequate hydration are strongly recommended.
Marine excursions are dependent on weather and sea conditions.
Guests must follow the instructions of boat operators and use required safety equipment.
Swimming, snorkeling and other water activities may be modified or cancelled when conditions are considered unsafe.
GidOman may restrict participation in a particular activity where reasonable safety concerns exist.
Such decisions will take account of the circumstances, the safety of the participants and applicable legal requirements.
Children must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian or authorized responsible adult unless a separately agreed supervised program provides otherwise.
The accompanying adult remains responsible for supervising children throughout the excursion, except where specific supervised services have been expressly agreed.
Certain excursions may have minimum age restrictions due to swimming requirements, hiking difficulty, physical demands or other safety considerations.
Applicable age restrictions and child pricing will be specified in the individual tour description.
Guests are responsible for holding valid passports, visas, entry permits and other documentation required for entry into and travel within the Sultanate of Oman.
GidOman is not responsible for problems arising solely from invalid or missing documents unless the Company has expressly undertaken responsibility for arranging them.
GidOman Tours, operated by Ilyas Alshibani For Trading, maintains Tour Operator Liability Insurance with Dhofar Insurance Company S.A.O.G., subject to the terms, conditions, coverage limits, insured activities and exclusions of the applicable policy.
This insurance is intended to provide protection in respect of certain third-party liability and professional liability claims arising from the Company’s insured tourism operations.
Coverage depends on the nature of the incident, the insured activity, relevant exclusions and the insurer’s assessment of the claim.
The existence of this insurance does not guarantee compensation for every accident, injury, loss or other incident occurring during an excursion.
Tour Operator Liability Insurance is separate from personal travel, medical and accident insurance.
Unless expressly stated in the confirmed booking, personal travel and medical insurance is not included in the tour price.
GidOman strongly recommends that all guests obtain comprehensive travel insurance before traveling to Oman.
Guests should ensure that their insurance provides appropriate coverage for:
Emergency medical treatment and hospitalization.
Personal accidents and injuries.
Emergency evacuation and repatriation.
Trip cancellation and interruption.
Lost or damaged personal belongings.
Outdoor and adventure activities included in their itinerary.
Guests are responsible for checking that their insurance covers their selected activities.
Certain activities, including specialized marine excursions, motorized water sports, extreme activities and other adventure experiences, may be subject to specific insurance requirements or exclusions.
Guests participating in these activities should confirm that they have appropriate personal insurance coverage.
Additional insurance arrangements or conditions may apply to activities organized by third-party providers.
In the event of an accident, injury or emergency during an excursion, guests should immediately inform their guide or GidOman representative whenever reasonably possible.
GidOman will take reasonable steps to assist, including:
Contacting emergency services where necessary.
Facilitating access to appropriate medical assistance.
Communicating with relevant service providers.
Recording and documenting the incident where appropriate.
Providing reasonable assistance with relevant insurance documentation.
Insurance claims are subject to the terms of the applicable policy and the insurer’s assessment.
Medical treatment, hospitalization, evacuation and other expenses not covered by applicable insurance remain the responsibility of the relevant guest, except where GidOman is legally responsible for those expenses.
